Getting to grips with the Automotive Industry
Problem | A customer supplying products to the automotive trade must ensure its robots can lift its tins by their lids. |
---|---|
Solution | Talisman modify the tool to provide as tight a fit as possible. |
Benefits | Production can remain automated, thus increasing volume whilst decreasing labour costs. |
One of Talisman’s longstanding customers in the automotive refinishing industry uses robots to assemble its products. They needed to ensure that the lids they used were tight enough for the robot to be able to lift and entire tin of product by said lid, without it falling off and spilling the contents.
Talisman were able to modify the tool which moulds the lids to provide the best grip possible. This allowed the customer to continue using an automated production line, which in turn kept their labour overheads to a minimum.
