Heading into 2024, Talisman Caps & Closures looks to produce more slip lids and tube end plugs than ever before. As a result of this, it’s important for the company to improve its sustainability year on year.
All of Talisman’s slip lids and tube end plugs are manufactured from 100% recyclable Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE). But it’s not just the products which we aim to be as sustainable as possible. We also strive to improve our carbon footprint in our day to day operations as well.
Talismans most recent sustainability investment was the installation of solar panels onto it’s Malvern warehouse roof. The new system is forecasted to produce 80,197 kwh of power per annum. The solar panels will help to power the sites injection moulding machines as well as contribute towards powering day to day operations. The advanced recycling system means that all power generated will be used and at weekends, the surplus will be fed back into the grid.
Upgraded and more efficient machinery is also a big part of Talisman’s desire to produce more sustainable slips lids and tube end plugs. Demand for leaner and cleaner injection moulding operations means we’re focused on installing machinery that produces product at a higher rate whilst also using less energy to improve our carbon footprint.
Finally, our Malvern factory offers electrical charging points for cars for our staff and visitors. With the ever-growing demand for electric cars, we wanted to make sure that our factory caters for everyone.
We’re excited going into next year with many more initiatives to make Talisman Plastics as sustainable as possible. Keep a look out for more news!
